The long story
I have worked as a marketing and communications specialist for 20+ years with a strong focus on editorial communications. My work experience sits within the following sectors; heritage, culture, leisure, travel, education and community relations for businesses, charities and public sector organisations.
I have always loved working with words; whether it’s reading, speaking, writing or editing them. Words are persuasive and powerful and the way they are presented can make or break a personal or professional reputation.
I have completed specialist communications and editorial training and continue to invest in my professional development via workshops, courses, and through my membership with the Chartered Institute of Editing & Proofreading (CIEP).

Where do I work?
Most days I work from my home office in Norwich, but sometimes it's good to have a change of scenery. Working from a local cafe serving good coffee and cake is definitely a freelance perk.
And outside of work?
Non-work time is for family and friends, cooking, reading and listening to podcasts. I love the theatre and belong to a long-running book club. Other favourite things include home and garden improvements, exploring new places, and country walks with the family dog.
